A male driver sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a rollover in Capitola on Wednesday afternoon, May 28, 2025.
The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of 41st Avenue and Clares Street.
According to Capitola Police, a Hyundai Kona was traveling northbound on 41st Avenue when it was struck by a Mercedes delivery van that abruptly pulled out of a driveway.
The collision caused the Hyundai to overturn onto its side, landing on the center median. The driver of the Hyundai was able to exit the vehicle on his own, while the Mercedes driver pulled into a nearby lot following the crash.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and reported minor injuries. Traffic in the area remained congested as of 4:00 p.m. due to cleanup and investigation efforts.
Authorities are continuing to look into the circumstances that led to the crash.
