According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fatal collision happened at about 4:35 p.m. at the 1300 block of West 46th Street.

LAFD stated an SUV plowed into the side of a building within the area for some reason, violently pinning a pedestrian against the wall.

The pinned victim, whose name, age, and origin weren’t disclosed yet, was pronounced dead at the scene by the responders. It is still unclear if the driver of the vehicle that slammed into the pedestrian and the building was injured in the accident.

The cause of the crash remains unclear, and the authorities are still examining all the details they could find to determine the factors that may have contributed to it.
