A female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries after being struck by a suspected DUI driver in Victorville on Tuesday night, May 27, 2025.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 8:57 p.m. near Reno Loop Road and Sorrel Way in the Brentwood community.
Deputies from the Victorville Police Station, along with firefighters and paramedics, responded to the scene and found that a 2001 gold Chevrolet Suburban had struck a woman.
Authorities reported that the SUV sustained significant front-end damage, including dents to the driver’s side fender and bumper. Despite emergency life-saving efforts, the unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The driver, identified as 50-year-old George T. of Barstow, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office is working to confirm the identity of the deceased woman.
