At least one person was killed following a two-vehicle collision in San Jose on Monday afternoon, May 27, 2024.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the crash occurred around 1:50 p.m. in the area of Montague Expressway and O’Toole Avenue.
Authorities stated that two vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the drivers sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown if there is anyone else injured.
Police advised the public to expect traffic delays as the westbound Montague Expressway was closed from Interstate 880 to McCarthy Boulevard. The lanes were reopened at around 6:30 p.m.
