According to the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, the man was hit near the intersection of Lorena Street and Eighth Street. He was transported to Los Angeles General Medical Center, where he has remained under medical care.

The victim is believed to be about 46 years old. He is approximately 6 feet tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has very short black hair and brown eyes.
