A motorcyclist was killed following a crash with a vehicle in southwest Bakersfield on Monday night, May 26, 2025.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 11:03 p.m. at the intersection of Wilson Road and Bladen Street.
Officers arrived to find the male motorcyclist suffering from major injuries. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a white Hyundai sedan was making a left turn from the westbound lanes of Wilson Road when it collided with the eastbound-traveling motorcycle in a broadside crash.
The driver of the sedan, identified as a woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police stated that impairment does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
