[05-26-2024] Three People Injured Following Single-Vehicle Collision on Sandia Creek Drive near TemeculaThree people were injured following a single-vehicle collision near Temecula early Sunday morning, May 26, 2024. 

According to CAL FIRE, the crash happened around 3:00 a.m. near the intersection of Sandia Creek Drive and Skyrocket Drive in the unincorporated De Luz area. 

Authorities stated that a vehicle was found approximately 80 feet down the side of an embankment. Three people were reportedly trapped inside the vehicle, and the emergency personnel immediately requested additional engines to rescue the victims. The extrication process was successful after an hour of intensive rescue operations. 

Two victims sustained moderate to serious injuries, while the third patient, who managed to reach the roadway, was treated for minor injuries at the scene. All of them were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. 

No additional information was released, and the authorities are gathering all the necessary information to determine the cause of the accident. 

Investigations are ongoing.
