[05-25-2025] One Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree at East Evelyn Avenue and Kittyhawk Way in Mountain ViewOne person was injured in a solo-vehicle crash after a car collided with a tree in Mountain View on Sunday morning, May 25, 2025.

According to the Mountain View Police Department, officers responded at around 5:20 a.m. to the area of East Evelyn Avenue and Kittyhawk Way and discovered a vehicle had struck a tree.

One passenger was found trapped inside the vehicle with their foot pinned by the wreckage. Mountain View firefighters extricated the individual, who was then transported to a hospital for treatment.

Another person, standing outside the vehicle, told officers they were the vehicle’s owner and claimed someone else had been driving. The alleged driver fled the scene on foot and was last seen wearing all black clothing.

Authorities are still searching for the driver and have asked anyone with information to contact the Mountain View Police Department at (650) 903-6344.
