One person was injured after a two-vehicle hit-and-run collision in Turlock on Saturday afternoon, May 25, 2024.
According to the Turlock Police Department, the traffic incident occurred at about 12:56 p.m. around the intersection of 1st Street and Olive Avenue.
Upon arrival, TPD found two damaged vehicles. One of its drivers reportedly fled the scene on foot, rendering the accident a hit-and-run case.
One person involved suffered a minor injury as a result of the crash, particularly a laceration to the face. AMR was called to the scene to treat the injured individual. Currently, the victim’s name, age, and origin are not known.
It was reported that the hit-and-run driver was an adult Hispanic male with long brown hair and thin facial hair. He was said to be wearing a black baseball cap, tan shorts, and a white t-shirt.
1st Street’s northbound lane was partially closed just north of the intersection as a precaution.
No further details were immediately provided, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary information to determine the cause of the accident and the factors that may have contributed to it.
