A rider was killed following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Saturday morning, May 25, 2024.
According to the Apple Valley Police Department, the collision happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Standing Rock Avenue and Blackfoot Road.
Authorities stated that the collision involved a motorcycle and a Honda Civic. The rider of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Honda crashed through the chain-linked fence of a house and ended up in the yard. The condition of the driver is unknown.
Locals living close to the scene raised concerns about the speed limits. They are requesting the authorities install a four-way stop sign at the intersection for improved safety.
