[05-22-2025] One Person Killed in Head-On Crash on SR-25 Near Shore RoadA 33-year-old man from Hollister was killed following a head-on crash involving two vehicles in San Benito County on Thursday afternoon, May 22, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:35 p.m. on State Route 25 near Shore Road.

A Subaru was traveling northbound on SR-25 when, for unknown reasons, it veered into the southbound lane and collided with a Ford truck that was towing a trailer.

The Subaru driver was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The Ford driver was not injured.

CHP stated that the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Drugs or alcohol have not been confirmed as contributing factors.
