A woman was killed following a three-vehicle collision in San Diego’s Talmadge neighborhood on Wednesday night, May 20, 2026.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:05 p.m. in the 4900 block of Fairmount Avenue.
Authorities stated that the woman was sitting inside a disabled Toyota Camry stopped in the southbound No. 2 lane with its hazard lights activated. A 39-year-old man had parked his Honda Fit about one car length behind the Camry to assist the stranded driver.
Investigators reported that a 25-year-old man driving a Saab 9-3 southbound changed lanes while attempting to pass a slower-moving vehicle and crashed into the rear of the Camry. The impact pushed the Camry forward into the back of the Honda Fit.
The woman inside the Camry suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
Officials said driving under the influence was not considered a factor in the collision.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
