Multiple people, including a pregnant woman, were injured following a three-vehicle collision in Fresno County on Tuesday afternoon, May 19, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident at around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Siskiyou Avenue.
Authorities stated that a 59-year-old man identified as Richy S. was driving a Honda CR-V northbound on Siskiyou Avenue when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.
Reports indicate that the Honda entered the intersection and collided with a Honda Civic traveling eastbound on Belmont Avenue before continuing into a Nissan Sentra traveling westbound.
Officials said the Honda Civic was occupied by three people, including a pregnant woman. The occupants of the Civic sustained major injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Honda CR-V driver also suffered major injuries in the crash. He was suspected of driving under the influence at the time of the collision and may face multiple felony DUI charges following his recovery.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
