[05-19-2025] Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes South Norma Street at Dewalt Avenue in RidgecrestA three-vehicle crash temporarily closed South Norma Street near Dewalt Avenue in Ridgecrest during the noon hour on Monday, May 19, 2025.

According to reports, the crash occurred around 12:14 p.m. at the intersection of Norma and Dewalt Avenue. 

Surveillance footage from a nearby residence showed that a Honda Odyssey minivan struck the rear of a Nissan 350Z that was stopped and preparing to make a U-turn. The impact pushed the Nissan into the path of an oncoming Ford Taurus.

Paramedics responded to assess the occupants of the Taurus, but no one was transported from the scene by ambulance.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
