Three people were hospitalized, including children, after a two-vehicle head-on crash in Victorville on Friday afternoon, May 17, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic collision occurred just after 4:00 p.m. in the 14000 block of Dos Palmas Road, just west of El Evado Road.
The circumstances behind the accident remain unclear, but CHP said that a black Mazda3 collided head-on against a gray four-door car.
A child was said to have sustained a major injury as a result of the incident and was promptly airlifted to Victor Valley Global Medical Center to recover. A second child was transported via a ground ambulance to be evaluated along with an adult male who complained of pain.
There is still no word on which vehicle the injured parties were in at the time of the collision, and their current conditions were not disclosed.
Both directions of Dos Palmas Road were blocked off as the authorities investigated and cleared up the scene.
Additional details were not available at this time. The CHP is still investigating the accident’s cause and possible contributing factors.
