[05-17-2024] 17-Year-Old Boy Injured Following E-Bike Vs. Vehicle Collision in North Berkeley A 17-year-old boy was injured following an e-bike vs. vehicle collision in north Berkeley on Friday afternoon, May 17, 2024. 

According to the Berkeley Police Department, the crash happened in the 2100 block of Rose Street, between Shattuck Avenue and Walnut Street. 

Authorities stated that the driver was pulling out of a parking lot when the teenager, who had the right-of-way, collided with the passenger side of his vehicle. The victim was bleeding from the mouth following the collision. He was transported to Highland “Code 2” for medical treatment. 

The extent of injuries, as well as the condition of the victim, remains unclear at this time. Details regarding the driver who struck the teenager were not yet available. 

Further information on the incident has yet to be released by the authorities. Investigations are ongoing.
