Two people were killed, and two others were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Sanger on Thursday afternoon, May 16, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 2:00 p.m. at De Wolf and North Avenues.
Authorities stated that a white Chevy pickup truck traveling east on North Avenue collided with a red Mitsubishi approaching north on DeWolf. It was unclear whether the Mitsubishi stopped at the stop sign or proceeded without stopping.
The two occupants of Mitsubishi were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were not immediately available. The driver and the passenger inside the Chevy suffered moderate to major injuries and were transported to the nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The authorities have yet to release further details about the collision.
