Three people were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Monterey County on Friday morning, May 15, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 68 and Torero Drive.
Authorities stated that a 45-year-old Carmel resident was driving a Dodge pickup truck westbound at an unknown speed while an 88-year-old Salinas man was driving a silver pickup truck in an unknown direction. For reasons still under investigation, the two vehicles collided at the intersection.
Officials reported that the occupants of the Dodge sustained suspected minor injuries. The driver of the silver pickup suffered suspected major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
