A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the 215 Freeway in Riverside early Thursday morning, May 14, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 2 a.m. to the southbound lanes of Interstate 215 and Blaine Street.

Authorities reported that the pedestrian was found lying in the middle lanes of the freeway and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released the victim’s name, age, or gender.

The incident prompted the closure of all southbound lanes near Blaine Street for approximately three hours while investigators examined the scene.
