[05-14-2025] One Seriously Injured After Being Struck by SUV on Oildale Drive in BakersfieldAt least one person was seriously injured after being struck by an SUV on Oildale Drive in Bakersfield on Wednesday night, May 14, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Oildale Drive. 

The victim, believed to be either a bicyclist or a motorcyclist, was reportedly pinned underneath the SUV following the crash.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the current condition of the injured person has not yet been disclosed.

CHP is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. It is unknown whether any road closures are in effect. 

Authorities advised the public to avoid the area if possible.
