Minor injuries were reported following a big rig vs. vehicle collision in Thousand Oaks on Tuesday afternoon, May 14, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. on northbound Highway 23 near Olsen Road.
Upon arrival, officers found the semi-trailer truck blocking the entire lane of the offramp. It is then confirmed that the crash only resulted in very minor injuries, and no one was hospitalized. There is no word yet about the precise number of people injured.
The crash resulted in a long traffic jam from around the Highway 101 juncture almost all the way to Tierra Rejada Road. A few hours later, all roadways affected were back to normal.
Additional information was not immediately available. The cause of the accident is still under thorough investigation.
