A motorcyclist was killed after a motorcycle vs. vehicle hit-and-run collision in Granite Bay, Placer County, on Tuesday evening, May 14, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened at about 6:24 p.m. at the Douglas Boulevard and Kingsgate Drive intersection.
The crash involved a red Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a red Cadillac that fled the scene. Officers said that several people passing by stopped to help but none of them reportedly witnessed the crash itself.
The motorcyclist, whose name, age, and place of origin remains undisclosed, was fatally injured as a result of the incident. There is no word yet if the deceased victim was riding alone or with a passenger.
Additional details were not immediately available. CHP is still looking for the hit-and-run suspect driving the red Cadillac.
