[05-12-2024] Driver Killed, Four People Injured Following Two-Vehicle Crash in HesperiaA driver was killed, and four people were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Hesperia on Sunday afternoon, May 12, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 3:11 p.m. on Rock Springs Road near Glendale Avenue. 

Authorities stated that the crash involved two vehicles, including a white older model Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a white Jeep Renegade. It is unknown what caused the crash. 

Firefighters pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead on the scene. Four occupants of the Jeep sustained minor injuries. 

The responding officers conducted a hard road closure for traffic going eastbound along Rock Springs Road and Glendale Road. Westbound remained open for motorists who use the dirt shoulder to driver around the scene. 

The cause of the accident is under investigation. Further details will be updated once they become available.
