[05-07-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – Woman and Child Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle in Salida (1).webpTwo pedestrians, including a child, were injured after being struck by a vehicle in Salida, Stanislaus County, on Thursday night, May 7, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Magnolia and Broadway avenues.

Authorities stated that a woman and a 9-year-old boy were in a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a westbound vehicle traveling on Broadway Avenue.

The woman was transported to Memorial Medical Center, while the child was taken to Doctors Medical Center. Both sustained serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. 

Alcohol and drugs were not considered factors in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
