[05-07-2024] 41-Year-Old Man Injured After Pedestrian Vs. Vehicle Collision in Red BluffA 41-year-old man was injured after a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision in Red Bluff on Tuesday night, May 7, 2024.

According to the Red Bluff Police Department, the crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. at the 700 block of Main Street.

Investigators said that a 2005 GMC pickup truck driven by a 55-year-old man was going south on Main Street when it struck the pedestrian, who was reportedly crossing the street outside a designated crosswalk.

The 41-year-old man was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. His identity and the extent of the injuries he sustained were not disclosed.

The driver pulled over to the side of the roadway immediately and willingly cooperated with the authorities. It is unclear if the driver was injured or not.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. Currently, alcohol impairment is not considered a factor in the crash.
