[05-07-2024] At Least One Person Killed Following DUI Multi-Vehicle Collision Involving Hit-And-Run Near Antelope At least one person was killed following a DUI multi-vehicle collision involving a hit-and-run in north Sacramento on Tuesday night, May 7, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Elverta Road and Dominion Way near Antelope. 

Authorities stated that a truck was stopped at the intersection when, for some reason, a second truck hit it from behind and pushed it toward a third truck in the intersection. As a result, the first truck collided with the third one.  

The driver of the second truck, identified only as a man possibly in the 60s or 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the third truck that hit the first truck fled the scene but was later on arrested for driving under the influence and hit-and-run. 

Police said that the driver of the first truck was a minor and uninjured. 

No other information was provided. The investigation into the collision continues.
