One person was killed, and two others were injured following a two-vehicle crash near Lake Henshaw in San Diego County on Wednesday afternoon, May 6, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 76 and State Route 79 in Morettis Junction.
Authorities reported that one person died at the scene and two individuals sustained minor injuries.
Officials stated that one of the vehicles involved went approximately 30 feet down a roadside embankment following the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
