[05-06-2024] Two People Injured Following Overturned Big Rig Collision on I-80Two people were injured following an overturned big rig collision on I-80, Placer County, on Monday afternoon, May 6, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 12:20 p.m. along Interstate 80 near Rainbow Road. 

Authorities stated that a big rig carrying beer overturned and spilled lots of cans of Coors across the highway. The driver and passenger of the big rig suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital. 

Police said that the driver possibly over-corrected and then tipped over, resulting in the overturned collision. The extent of injuries of the patients remains unclear. 

Further details have yet to be released by the investigators.
