[05-06-2024] Two People Severely Injured Following Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision in Northwest BakersfieldTwo people were injured following a two-vehicle head-on collision in northwest Bakersfield on Monday morning, May 6, 2024. 

According to the Kern County Fire Department, the collision happened around 6:30 a.m. in the area of Snow and Zerker roads. 

Authorities stated that two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in severe damages and life-threatening injuries. 

Police said that one person was pinned in and had to be extracted from one of the vehicles. Two individuals were transported to a local hospital with major injuries. At this time, there is no available information regarding the identities of the victims. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Further details have yet to be released by the responding officials.
