[05-05-2026] Sonoma County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Guerneville.webpA pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Guerneville, Sonoma County, on Tuesday afternoon, May 5, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded shortly after 1:50 p.m. to the incident at Armstrong Woods Road and Highway 116.

Authorities reported that a Dodge Ram was traveling northbound on First Street and turning left onto Highway 116 when it struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway. Investigators stated that the crosswalk signal had been activated before the incident happened.

The pedestrian was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries and later died Tuesday night. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

CHP stated that the driver was found to be under the influence and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, along with additional charges. The driver was later booked into the Sonoma County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
