Two people were injured following a truck crash in Tamalpais Valley, Marin County, on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2026.
According to the Marin County Fire Department, emergency crews responded around 11:50 a.m. to the area of Waterview Drive and West California Avenue.
Authorities reported that the driver was able to exit the truck before crews arrived and was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Officials said that the passenger side of the vehicle became pinned against a tree, trapping a second occupant inside.
Firefighters used hydraulic extrication equipment to remove the trapped passenger, who sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Additional agencies responding to the crash included the Southern Marin Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
