[05-04-2026] Tulare County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured in Crash Involving Flatbed Truck on Ave 216.webpA man was killed, and another sustained injuries following a crash involving an SUV and a commercial flatbed truck in Tulare County on Monday morning, May 4, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 10:37 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 216 and Highway 137.

Authorities reported that a Dodge Journey traveling westbound on Avenue 216 failed to stop at a posted stop sign and entered the intersection. A commercial flatbed truck traveling on Highway 137 then collided with the Dodge, causing the truck to overturn.

The driver of the Dodge sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of the flatbed truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment.

Officials have not yet released the identities of those involved. The investigation remains ongoing.
