According to the California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the crash occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. at State Route 79 South and Caprise Road.

Authorities reported that a silver SUV carrying four occupants struck a power pole, splitting it and causing it to lean. All four occupants were able to exit the vehicle without assistance.

One individual was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The crash also caused a power outage affecting approximately 12 customers in the area while Southern California Edison crews responded to repair the damaged pole.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
