[05-04-2026] Riverside County, CA – Motorcyclist Involved in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-215 in Murrieta

A multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle caused major traffic delays in Murrieta on Monday afternoon, May 4, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. on northbound Interstate 215, north of Los Alamos Road near the Interstate 15 split.

Authorities stated that at least one motorcyclist was involved in the crash and was found down in the traffic lanes following the collision.

All northbound lanes were temporarily blocked as emergency crews responded to the scene. The extent of injuries has not been disclosed.

Traffic remained heavily impacted until all lanes reopened at approximately 6 p.m.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
