[05-03-2024] 40-Year-Old Cyclist Killed After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Vehicle in Lake BalboaA 40-year-old cyclist was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Lake Balboa, Los Angeles County, on Friday evening, May 3, 2024. 

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision happened around 8:00 p.m. on Woodley Avenue between Victory and Burbank Boulevards. 

Authorities stated that the hit-and-run driver was driving a silver-colored vehicle speeding southbound on Woodley Avenue. The vehicle then collided with a man riding a bicycle. 

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity was withheld pending notification of his family. 

Police said that the suspect fled the scene and drove south on Woodley. Details about the make and model of the vehicle were not available.
