[05-02-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – Five People Injured in Head-On Crash on Hatch Rd East of Clinton Rd.webpFive people were injured, including three with major injuries, following a head-on collision in Stanislaus County on Saturday morning, May 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 8:32 a.m. on Hatch Road east of Clinton Road.

Authorities stated that a white 2017 Hyundai sedan, driven by 22-year-old Jonathan S. of Hickman, was traveling westbound in a left-turn lane while passing another vehicle. At the same time, a white 2021 Mercedes AMG SUV, driven by 55-year-old Sukhjinder S. of Hughson, was traveling eastbound at approximately 55 mph. 

Investigators reported that the Hyundai entered the eastbound lane for reasons still under investigation and collided head-on with the Mercedes.

The driver of the Hyundai and his two passengers, identified as 25-year-old Angel F. and 24-year-old Ciara B., both of Modesto, sustained major injuries and were transported to a hospital. Ciara was partially ejected during the crash. The Mercedes driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital.

Officials stated that all occupants were wearing seatbelts except Ciara, and alcohol or drugs are not believed to have been factors in the crash.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
