Three people were injured in a three-vehicle collision on northbound Highway 101 near Montecito, Santa Barbara County, on Saturday afternoon, May 2, 2026.
According to the Montecito Fire Protection District and the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:00 p.m. between Sheffield Drive and San Ysidro Road.
Authorities reported that a white Toyota Camry, a gray Honda Civic, and a silver Ford truck were involved in the collision. Emergency crews from multiple agencies responded to the scene and transported three individuals to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with minor injuries.
The northbound lanes of Highway 101 were temporarily closed, causing traffic delays extending through Summerland before reopening later in the afternoon.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
