[05-02-2024] Two Riders Injured After Motorcycle Struck Dog Along Bear Valley Road in VictorvilleTwo riders were injured after a motorcycle struck a dog in Victorville on Thursday night, May 2, 2024.

According to the Victorville Police Department, the incident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. on Bear Valley Road near Shooting Star Drive.

Police said that two adult men were riding an eastbound Honda motorbike on Bear Valley Road when they hit a stray dog that was crossing the road. The impact of the collision threw both riders off their motorcycle.

The passenger reportedly sustained critical injuries and was eventually airlifted to an out-of-area trauma center to recover. Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider was said to be limping after the incident but declined medical transport.

The dog involved sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

VPD is handling the ongoing investigation. No further details were immediately provided.
