[05-01-2026] San Mateo County, CA – Elderly Bicyclist Dies After Collision With Vehicle in Woodside.webpA 75-year-old bicyclist died following a collision with a vehicle in Woodside, San Mateo County, on Friday afternoon, May 1, 2026.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 12:15 p.m. in the 1400 block of Portola Road.

Authorities reported that deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived to find the bicyclist suffering from serious injuries. The man was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Officials said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been contributing factors in the collision.

The investigation remains ongoing.
