[05-01-2024] At Least One Person Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision Involving Hit-And-Run in Bystrom At least one person was injured following a two-vehicle collision involving a hit-and-run in Bystrom, Stanislaus County, on Wednesday evening, May 1, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run collision occurred around 9:10 p.m. on northbound Highway 99 near the East Hatch Road exit. 

Authorities stated that the collision involved two unidentified vehicles, and at least one person was injured following the crash. The number of parties involved, as well as the extent of injuries sustained by the victim, remain unclear. 

Police said that at least one northbound lane on the highway was blocked after the crash. Witnesses are encouraged to come forward and communicate with the investigators. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No further details were released at this time.
