A rider sustained severe injuries following a hit-and-run vehicle collision in Santa Rosa on Tuesday afternoon, April 30, 2024.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, the crash happened around 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of Hopper Avenue and Airway Drive.
Reports state that the victim was approaching eastbound on Hopper Avenue and drove through a green light. The pickup driver tried to turn left onto southbound Airway Drive and collided with the motorcycle. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital after the collision.
Police said that the driver of the pickup truck sped off. The suspect was driving a silver Ford F-150 with front-end damage.
Further details have yet to be released. Investigations are ongoing.
