[04-30-2024] Three People Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving DUI in BrentwoodThree people were injured following a multi-vehicle crash involving DUI in Brentwood on Tuesday evening, Apri 30, 2024. 

According to the Brentwood Police Department, the collision happened around 9:30 p.m. on westbound Balfour Road at McViking Way. 

Authorities stated that the Chevy Silverado, driven by Zachary R.,26, was at high speeds before colliding with a Toyota RAV-4. Due to the massive force, the RAV-4 then crashed into a Honda HR-V driven by a 37-year-old Brentwood man. 

Police said that the passenger of Chevy, identified as a 26-year-old Antioch man, sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital. Meanwhile, the 31-year-old driver of RAV4 was found unconscious at the scene of the crash. He was extracted from the car and airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. 

Zachary R. suffered from minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital before getting arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, causing injuries. 

No further details were disclosed. The investigation is ongoing.
