[04-29-2024] Two People Injured Following Vehicle Collision Along Highway 99 in TurlockTwo people were injured following a vehicle collision in Turlock on Monday evening, April 29, 2024.

According to the Turlock Fire Department, the traffic incident happened at about 5:55 p.m. along southbound Highway 99, near the West Main Street Exit.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a vehicle that crashed into the highway’s center divide. The wreckage was reportedly blocking the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes of southbound Highway 99, just under the Canal Drive overpass.

It is said that two people were inside the crashed car when the collision occurred. Both of them suffered injuries, with at least one requiring ambulance transport after receiving on-scene treatment. The extent of the injuries sustained by the two victims was not disclosed.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Authorities said that the case may possibly be a hit-and-run but haven’t confirmed anything yet.
