[04-29-2024] Cyclist Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle in Downtown BakersfieldA cyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Bakersfield on Monday morning, April 29, 2024. 

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the collision happened around 9:15 a.m. near L and 25th Streets. 

Authorities stated that the male cyclist sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for immediate treatment. The extent of injuries remains unclear. Details on the victim’s identity were not immediately available. 

It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision. No other injuries were reported.
