According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal incident occurred at around 1:50 a.m. on Western Avenue, south of Washington Boulevard and north of the Santa Monica Freeway.

Reports indicate that a vehicle heading south struck a man in his 60s while traversing the roadway. 

The victim was declared dead at the scene, while the hit-and-run driver fled and has yet to be located.

The authorities encourage anyone with additional information about the suspect’s whereabouts to contact them.
