According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal incident happened around 7:20 a.m. between Chico Avenue and Garvey Avenue.

Reports indicate that a light-colored sedan hit the pedestrian who was in a crosswalk before leaving the scene without rendering aid or contacting 911.

The victim was declared dead. The deceased’s identity remains undisclosed, pending notification of their next of kin.
