[04-23-2026] Imperial County, CA – Two Injured in Rollover Accident on Eastbound I-8

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident on eastbound Interstate 8 near Dunaway Road in Imperial County on Thursday afternoon, April 23, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:24 p.m. when a minivan rolled over and came to rest on its side.

The two occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries. Traffic was backed up as other vehicles stopped to provide assistance. Emergency crews shut down the eastbound lanes temporarily to clear the scene and treat the injured.

Normal traffic flow resumed shortly after 5:00 p.m. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
