[04-20-2026] Kern County, CA – Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Bakersfield.webpA pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Bakersfield on Monday night, April 20, 2026.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, officers responded to the incident in the 300 block of Beale Avenue.

Authorities stated that the pedestrian was in the roadway outside of a crosswalk with their back to traffic when they were hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian sustained moderate injuries and was not reported to be in critical condition. 

Police noted that descriptions of the suspect vehicle were conflicting at the time, and the investigation remains in its early stages.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
