[04-20-2025] Two People Injured After Vehicles Crash Into Lagoon on N. Torrey Pines RoadTwo individuals were injured after a two-vehicle collision sent both cars into Los Peñasquitos Lagoon in San Diego on Sunday afternoon, April 20, 2025.

According to the San Diego Police and Fire Departments, the crash occurred just after 4:30 p.m. along N. Torrey Pines Road. 

One person was trapped inside a vehicle submerged in the lagoon and was rescued by firefighters before being transported to a hospital.

Another person involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the San Diego Police Department.
