[04-20-2024] Motorcyclist Killed, At Least One Injured, Following Motorcycle Vs. Minivan Collision in Apple ValleyA motorcyclist was killed, while at least one person was injured, following a motorcycle vs. minivan collision in Apple Valley on Saturday evening, April 20, 2024.

According to the authorities, the traffic incident happened at about 6:12 p.m. on Highway 18 and Quinnault Road.

The crash involved a red 2006 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a white 2016 Toyota minivan. Initial investigations suggest that the Kawasaki was moving along the eastbound No. 1 lane of Hwy 18 when, for some reason, it crashed into the side of the minivan that was traveling north on Quinnault Road, making a left turn onto Hwy 18.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel saw the two vehicles blocking the intersection and some good samaritans rendering aid to the victims. The motorcyclist, who was later identified as Matthew H. from Apple Valley, died despite efforts to save him.

Witnesses told authorities that the minivan had several children inside when the accident occurred. It was later confirmed that the vehicle had a total of six occupants, and all of its airbags were deployed as a result of the crash.

There is no word yet about the total number of injured people inside the minivan, but a medical helicopter was said to be requested to airlift one of the juveniles to a trauma center.

Additional information was not immediately available. Anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities and help with the investigations.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation.

The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
